The most recent UK Adult Dental Health Survey suggests that over three quarters of the UK population have some form of tooth wear.
This is an increasingly common dental problem and tooth wear can result in sharp or sensitive teeth which may look shorter when you smile and can make many people self-conscious. Even speaking or chewing can become a problem and many people also experience jaw and muscle discomfort.
Tooth wear occurs when the outer tooth surface is lost as a direct result of chemical or mechanical activity in the mouth. This is in contrast to tooth decay and gum disease which are caused primarily by the action of bacteria.
No matter how early or advanced the problem, we are here to help you.
