Benefits at a glance
Space Healthcare Membership Plan includes preventive treatment and discounts on many of our services. Below is a brief summary of the benefits and exclusions of your plan. For full details of the benefits, limitations and exclusions please refer to our Terms and Conditions.
The Membership Plan gives you

Routine preventive care from our dental team:
- Comprehensive dental examinations (up to the maximum of 2 per year)
- Scaling, polishing and other hygiene treatment (up to two 30 minute visits or a single 60 minute visit per year)
- Any necessary dental X-rays
- Preventive dental advice
- 10% discounts on the costs of other dental treatment*
- £500 off Invisalign treatments*
- One emergency dental examination per year at 50% discount
Regular optical care from our optometry team:
- Comprehensive annual eye exam
- 10% discount on the costs of lenses and frames
- £500 discount on refractive eye procedures, such as LASIK, LASEK, IOL or cataract*
The Membership Plan does not cover the following
- The fees for your first examination (unless you pay annually)
- The full fees for restorative dental treatments including fillings, crowns, bridges or dentures
- Laboratory fees and prescriptions
- Referral to a specialist and treatment provided by a specialist
Frequently asked questions
Q: Is Space Healthcare Membership Plan an insurance policy?
A: No, it’s a payment plan agreed between you and Space Healthcare to cover your routine preventive dental treatment with the added benefit of optometry and eye care.
Q: Who is my contract with?
A: You are in contract with Space Healthcare for the dental care and optical care you receive under your Membership Plan Agreement. A copy of the contract will be given to you by our team. GoCardless provide safe and secure collection of your Direct Debit payments and are not involved in the provision of any of our services.
Q: How much do I pay?
A: A monthly payment of £15.50, paid by Direct Debit, or a one-off annual payment of £186
Q: How much is the Activation Fee?
A: There is a one-off fee of £50 to set up the Membership Plan. This fee is waived if you choose to pay annually in advance rather than monthly by Direct Debit
Q: How often will I visit my dentist?
A: Your dentist will let you know how often you need to visit, as everyone’s dental health needs will be different. Many people should see the dentist every six months.
Q: How often will I visit my optometrist?
A: Your optometrist will let you know how often you need to visit: as with dental health, everyone’s eye health needs will be different. Most people should see the optometrist every 1 -2 years, but for some people the interval could be shorter
Q: What does my plan include?
A: Space Healthcare Membership Plan includes regular consultations with your dentist, hygiene treatment, oral healthcare advice and preventive care; preventive care will help to maintain your oral health and you will have access to regular appointments with your dentist to minimize the need for restorative treatment. The Plan also includes an annual comprehensive eye test with our highly experienced optical team to maintain the health of your eyes and vision.
Q: Are there additional benefits?
A: Yes. You will automatically benefit from a 10% discount on the fees for any dental treatment you require. You will also gain a 10% discount on the costs of any lenses or frames we supply. Our refractive eye surgery procedures (LASIK, LASEK, IOL and cataract) will be available at significant discount*.
Q: How are my payments made?
A: Space Healthcare Membership Plan allows you to make monthly payments to cover the cost of your dental and optical treatment. These payments mean you can budget for your regular oral care and ensure that you get access to a dentist or optometrist when you need it. You can make a single annual payment if you prefer.

Terms and Conditions
The following points make up the terms and conditions of your Membership Plan contract with Space Healthcare. These are very important and we strongly advise that you read them carefully and keep them in a safe place so that you can refer to them in the future, should you need to.
“Activation Fee” means the single, non-refundable payment made when you join the Space Healthcare Membership Plan.“Contract”” means this agreement and the terms contained in this document.”Term” ” means the twelve month period from the date you sign the Membership form and the Membership Plan is accepted.”Monthly Fee” ” means the monthly Direct Debit payment for the Space Healthcare Patient Membership Plan.”We” ” and “us”” means Space Healthcare.”You” ” and “Your”” means the individual who has signed the application form.
“Membership Plan holder”” means an individual named on the application form who is entitled to receive the benefits of the Membership Plan.
- Commencement and Duration
Your Membership Plan will commence on the date in which you sign the Membership form, complete the Direct Debit mandate and pay the Activation Fee. The first Term will end on the first anniversary of that date unless we have terminated it earlier in accordance with these conditions. The next Term will start on the first date after the anniversary, nnproviding the new Monthly Fee has been paid. We reserve the right to refuse any application for the Patient Membership Plan.
3.1 You must pay the Monthly Fee by Direct Debit to GoCardless, who act as the collecting agent for Space Healthcare. The monthly payment will be collected on the 28th day of each month, or closest working day to the 28th of each month. Where you are not the payer of the Direct Debit, you must ensure that the payer pays any sum due by you under this Contract. You agree that, when making any such payment, the payer acts as your agent and on your behalf. Your liability to pay the Monthly Fee continues until the Contract is ended in accordance with this Agreement (see condition 8)3.2 We will normally review your Monthly Fee annually and your fees may change in January in any year and at other times in exceptional circumstances. Should the Monthly Fee change (for example, due to inflation, or increased material or practice running costs) you will be given at least one month’s written notice (correspondence sent to your last known address by ordinary post will be treated as adequate notice). If you are not happy with any change in the Monthly Fee, you have the right to terminate the agreement giving Space Healthcare not less than 21 days’ notice, expiring on the last day of a calendar month, as detailed in condition 8.
- Your entitlement per Term
4.1 In return for the Monthly Fee made by you during the Term of your Membership Plan each named person will be entitled to the following benefits:Dental benefits:4,1.1 Two comprehensive dental examinations, inclusive of the costs of any x-ray imaging.4.1.2 A discount of 10% off the standard fees for all dental treatments provided by Space Healthcare.4.1.3 Up to two standard 30 minute hygienist appointments, each on different courses of treatment (according to clinical treatment needs).4.1.4 A discount of 10% off the standard fees for all periodontal and hygienist treatments provided by Space Healthcare.
4,1.5 A comprehensive annual sight test.
4.1.6 A discount of 10% off frames and lenses provided by Space Healthcare.
4.2 To receive the benefits set out in condition 4.1, all treatments must be carried out during the term of your Membership Programme. Entitlements cannot be carried over to a subsequent term.
4.3 We will endeavour to help maximize the benefits received under the Membership Plan but will not be liable for any delays that result in entitlements not being fully realised in any one Term (please refer to condition 7).
4.4 The benefits under the Membership Plan cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or offer being made or conducted by us unless the terms of that offer or promotion state otherwise.
- Non transferability
5.1 The benefits set out in condition 4.1 are for the use only of the person(s) named, and will not be applicable in respect of treatment or services provided for the benefit of any other individual.5.2 This contract is with Space Healthcare and cannot be transferred to another practice.
- Treatment by another dentist or optometrist
If a Space Healthcare dentist or optometrist arranges for another dentist, optometrist or locum to provide routine care on his or her behalf at Space Healthcare, this will be covered by the Contract. However, where a Membership Plan holder chooses to have routine care or treatment provided by a practitioner independently of a Space Healthcare dentist or optometrist, any associated costs will not be covered by the Contract. Furthermore, if a referral to a specialist is made by a Space Healthcare dentist or optometrist, any associated costs will not be covered.
- Your responsibilities
Membership Plan holders are responsible for keeping appointments made with a Space Healthcare dentist or optometrist and must pay any ‘missed appointment’ fee should they fail to do so. Plan holders must ensure that they also attend for regular examinations and receive the treatment a Space Healthcare dentist or optometrist advises in a timely manner. You must also ensure that we know of changes to Membership Plan holder contact details to enable us to contact that person when required.
- Ending the Contract
8.1 You may cancel your Membership Plan at any time within the cancellation period, which is 14 days following signing of the Contract. Following this period, you may end the Contract by giving not less than 21 days’ notice to Space Healthcare, expiring on the day before your next Direct Debit is due. Any unused membership benefits are not refundable.8.2 In the event that a Membership Plan holder receives discounted treatment and you terminate this agreement within six months of receiving discounted treatment or within six months from the end of a course of discounted treatment, you will be liable to refund to Space Healthcare the full amount of the discount under the conditions of paragraph 4.1 in relation to the treatment or course of treatment received.8.3 If you decide the re-instate your Membership Plan after ending the Contract, an examination fee will be charged prior to re-registration.8.4 We may end your Membership Plan by giving you not less than one months’ written notice expiring on the expiring on the day before your next Direct Debit payment is due.
Non-payment of one Monthly Fee If you fail to make a monthly payment Space Healthcare will inform you accordingly and attempt to collect two payments in the following month.Non-payment of two fees If you fail to make two successive payments, Space Healthcare will inform you that your Contract has been cancelled. In the event that a Membership Plan holder has received discounted treatment and the Contract is cancelled within 6 months from the end of a discounted course of treatment or 6 months of receiving discounted treatment, you must repay the full amount of the discount received.RefundsIf Space Healthcare agrees to refund your Monthly Fees for any reason, your membership registration for those months will be treated as unpaid and the conditions relating to non-payment will fully apply.
- Variation of these conditions
If it is necessary to vary the conditions in this Agreement, for instance to take account of changes in the law, this can be done by Space Healthcare giving you one month’s written notice. If you do not wish the Contract to continue, having regard to any variation notified to you, you may end it as detailed in condition 8. If you do not do this by the time the notice of variation expires, you will be deemed to have accepted the variation.
Space Healthcare is required to have an in-house complaints procedure. If a Membership Plan holder is unhappy with any aspect of their dental or optical care they should, in the first instance, approach the dentist or optometrist directly. If they remain dissatisfied, Space Healthcare will offer access to an impartial complaints handling service.
Any notice given by a Space Healthcare dentist, optometrist or Space Healthcare is valid if sent to your last known address by ordinary post.
- Third Parties
This Contract is intended to confer a benefit on you and Space Healthcare. No other person shall be entitled to enforce any term of the Contract by virtue of the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 (the ‘Act’).
- Governing Law and Jurisdiction.
Both parties agree that this Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the Law of England and Wales and the parties hereby irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
- Changes to Details
