At Space Healthcare in Leamington Spa, we offer Profhilo® and Ellanse skin boosters for anti-ageing so that you can feel more confident and radiant in your skin.
Profhilo® is a unique hyaluronic acid injectable skin revitaliser that offers skin rejuvenation from within. It is different to Botox® and dermal fillers in its application and results, as it works to make the skin heal and repair itself. Profhilo® takes between 10 and 20 minutes to administer, and the results can last up to 6 months.
Unlike Botox® and dermal fillers, Profhilo® requires 2 to 3 treatment sessions, four weeks apart, for optimal results. A Profhilo face treatment targets five key injection points of the face for all-round skin revitalisation.
Profhilo® stimulates four different types of collagen and elastin and is effective due to the slow release of hyaluronic acid (HA), a super-hydrator for the skin. HA can hold up to 1000 times its weight in water, released into the skin cells for a plumper and more youthful skin appearance.
Profhilo® will not physically fill specific lines, wrinkles or hollow areas of the skin and is not a muscle relaxant as is Botox®. However, Profhilo® delivers the overall effect of skin luminosity and inner hydration. Profhilo® can, of course, be used in conjunction with other injectable aesthetic treatments such as Botox® and dermal fillers for a holistic approach to skin healing and rejuvenation.
Profhilo® is mainly used for treatments in the upper and lower face, but practitioners can use it in areas such as the décolletage, neck, hands, elbows and knees.
Ellanse is a natural filler and skin booster, which is proven to give long-lasting collagen stimulation for up to 4 years at a time. It is unique as it is the first and only dermal filler that is a biostimulator of collagen.
In expert hands such as our practitioners at Space Healthcare, it can be an extremely cost-effective alternative to traditional dermal fillers. It produces immediate results and stimulates collagen in the years after its application.
Collagen is one of the most critical support structures for the skin, helping to maintain tightness, elasticity and suppleness. We start to lose collagen from our bodies in our 20s, and with time, our skin loses its natural facial laxity and begins to form wrinkles and folds.
As advocates of injectable collagen stimulators, we believe in seeking results for the long term. Ellanse is a natural choice to help our patients maintain good skin texture and slow the ageing process for as long as possible. Ellanse replenishes lost collagen with very natural and long-lasting results but can also immediately correct, shape and contour the face, making it ideal for patients who need an instant impact but wish to maintain these results for years to come.
Are you interested in cosmetic treatments in Leamington Spa? Contact us. Before any non-surgical treatment here at Space Healthcare, we will request that you attend an initial no-obligation consultation with one of our medically qualified and highly skilled practitioners.
This meeting allows you to describe your facial concerns and ask as many questions as you have about your injectable skin boosters procedure. It will also enable your practitioner to examine your specific concerns, check your medical history, and advise you on the best course of action for the best possible results.
Before the treatment takes place, the area to be treated may be numbed with a topical anaesthetic for your comfort. Once the numbing cream has taken effect, your practitioner will inject a measured dosage of your selected skin booster into specific areas of the face. The procedure itself should not take more than 10 to 20 minutes but allow for 30 to 45 minutes for the anaesthetic to take effect. Once the treatment is complete, you will be able to return to your normal daily activities, as long as you adhere to any aftercare instructions that your practitioner offers you.
As with any injectable procedure which involves the use of needles or cannulas, there can be some discomfort or strange sensations, but the treatment should not be painful. If you are particularly worried or sensitive to pain and if the treatment allows, your practitioner may offer you an injectable nerve ‘block’ to numb the treatment area completely, but this is not usually necessary; a topical anaesthetic is generally sufficient.
